Training with GGIA offers a variety of courses designed to serve students of any experience level

GANG AWARENESS/IDENTIFICATION COURSES

Gang awareness training is offered free of charge to law enforcement, corrections, and prosecutors. We also offer this course to students, community groups, religious and civic organizations, and conferences/workshops around issues of gang violence. Attendees will learn to recognize gangs and their common activities and understand the origins and structure of these groups. These courses are typically offered upon request by an organizing entity.  Contact us to discuss your group’s needs.

GANG INVESTIGATOR CERTIFICATION COURSES

Gang investigators seeking advanced training and enhanced credibility may apply to one of our certification courses. We offer basic, intermediate, and advanced certifications to eligible members for a fee of $100 per student. These courses build on the fundamentals of gang investigations, offering the students progressive techniques for investigating and prosecuting gangs using the Georgia Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act. Students must pass a final exam to achieve each level of certification.

GGIA ANNUAL TRAINING CONFERENCE

Our annual four-day training conference offers up-to-date training on best practices for investigating and prosecuting gangs in Georgia. The training conference is intended for students of all experience levels, from throughout the criminal justice system. Along with training courses, we offer case studies and regional intelligence updates to give attendees practical tools they can immediately put to use.

Come early and sign up for one of the Gang Investigator Certification courses, offered on the day before the conference officially begins.
